Aye Write – I Belong to Glasgow
Went along to the launch of I Belong to Glasgow, a paperback book of stories and poems from writing groups all over Glasgow, at Aye Write on Friday. Great afternoon at the Mitchell Library listening to various readings. Small extract of a children’s story I wrote included too.

The first film by Jon Snow was one of the most disturbing programmes I have ever seen. This follow up shows that the perpetrators have still to be brought to justice. Rape, torture and the withholding of food and medicines from civilians who were being systematically bombed, the world cannot let this atrocity go unpunished.
Sri Lanka is to host a Commonwealth meeting in 2013. Really? Is the UK going to let this meeting go ahead? For the guilty in Sri Lanka this will be seen as condoning their actions. Who will speak for the dead and disappeared?
